Thermography is a monitoring tool which allows us to identify where there is changes in an animals pathology and in conjunction with our vet, allows us to take a swift course of action limiting injury or disease.

Equitherm has been established for over 10 years and is a well respected organisation withing the veterinary and equine industry. Equitherm have established the protocols and procedures necessary to carry out professional accurate scans using Infra-red technology. Equitherm consist of worldclass vets and scientists whom have all contributed and continue to contribute to our progressive training programmes.

Equitherm not only provides you with training but also free ongoing support to all our students.

Equitherm offers a full imaging service to horse owners, trainers, and breeders and an extensive training programme for equine Vets, Physiotherapists, Therapy professionals and trainers looking to add Thermography to their range of services or increase their current level of expertise.

Equitherm are working towards raising awareness of animal welfare of Equines in the UK and overseas.                   

Sandie Chambers, Director of Equitherm, has been using Thermography for over 6 years and can not emphasis enough that a Thermographer should have at least two years experience at scanning before they can be classified as a Level I, professional Thermographer. It takes training, case studies and thousands of scans to be proficiant at Thermography. Too often we see so called Thermographers who have done a few days training and start to scan horses. Themography has many elements to it that only experience can teach and it is with this in mind that Sandie and her team of vets and animal scientists have developed an ongoing training programme which will ensure that the Thermographer will be trained to a high standard and will produce trusted results

Based in Warwickshire the Equitherm team consist of experts in the field of Veterinary Thermography, Equine Science, Thermoregulation, Equine Physiology and Infra red technology together they have developed a progressive training programme designed to provide the Equine specialist with the skills needed to perform thermographic examinations and effectively develop procedures in the prevention, treatment and recovery of the Equine.

Equitherm have developed protocol and procedures that measure the efficiency of imaging and interpretation. With an ongoing research programme designed at increasing the students knowledge and competency with the procedures.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THERMOGRAPHY TECHNICIANS PROVIDE A SERVICE IN INFRARED IMAGING AND DO NOT MAKE A DIAGNOSTIC EVALUATION. THE EVALUATION WILL BE INTERPRETED & GIVEN BY A VET ONLY.
