Equitherm offers a professional service using the very latest Infra-red imaging equipment.

Equitherm's service provides the horse owner or trainer with reports and images that meet the standards and protocol expected in the Veterinary industry. Our aim is to work with the owner and his veterinarian to assist in diagnosing stress or trauma in the animal swifty and safely and to enable the vet to make a quick decision on treatment needed.

Equitherm offers trainers the benefit of monitoring their horses for injury and trauma during training, performance and recovery. Infr-red imaging will safely and swiftly identify if the programme of training for your horse is not suitable due to thermal patterns showing asymetry. Not all programmes of training are suitable for all horses, thermography will identify if the horse in training is not suiting the programme and will enable the trainer to quickly identify what to change. There is an increase in horse being monitored during training in this way. Thermography is an excellent tool to monitor the performance horse during competition and recovery.

Saddle fitting, is an area that thermography is benefitting greatly. We image the underside of the saddle during fitting to ensure symmetry and identify poor fit. We work with Master saddlers from start to finish.

Our costs are as follows.

Initial examination : £125.00 + vat, includes full scan and report with images.

All horses are expected to have an initial baseline scan, this will give us an understanding of the animals current thermal patterns & condition allowing the thermographer to interpret future scans.

Repeat visits £80.00 + vat repeat scan with report and images.

Other costs:

We charge 45p per mile for all visits over a 20 miles radius.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THERMOGRAPHY TECHNICIANS PROVIDE A SERVICE IN INFRARED IMAGING AND DO NOT MAKE A DIAGNOSTIC EVALUATION. THE EVALUATION WILL BE INTERPRETED & GIVEN BY A VET ONLY
